Pardon My French…DJ Snake, Tchami team up with others at the Masonic Temple 4/9

Written by Ariana Assaf

DJ Snake’s Pardon My French tour is about to kick off a 14-show run, starting at Encore in Las Vegas and ending near his hometown at Hippodrome de Longchamp in Paris. Though he hasn’t been in the news much lately, we have a feeling this tour will be making headlines soon enough (as always, stay tuned for our coverage!)

DJ Snake has certainly come a long way since “Turn Down For What” in 2013. Working with Major Lazer and MØ on “Lean On” in 2015 gave him an even more prominent place on the electronic music map, and recent successes suggests he won’t be slowing down any time soon. Released in February, “Propaganda” is a dubstep masterpiece that brilliantly dips in to the world of hardstyle, and inspired the release of an 11-track album by the same name full of remixes by the likes of Dillon Francis, Kill The Noise, and more.

A couple weeks ago, a music video for his single “Middle” with Bipolar Sunshine was released. Featuring The Hunger Games heartthrob Josh Hutcherson and Kiersey Clemons from Rick Famuyiwa’s film Dope, it’s a wonderful visual representation of the song’s melodic tone and sweet message, as well as a great addition to DJ Snake’s overall body of work.

After basking in the glory of his vinyl-infused set at Ultra, I for one cannot wait to catch DJ Snake and see what surprises he has prepared for this tour.
