It is that time of year again. Festival season is not dead but calming. Schedules and lineups for the ensuing year are casually being announced. Fanatics are eagerly debating trips between the music lineups of festivals out so far. Euphoria Music Festival in Austin, Texas looks like nothing short of a good decision as it recently released Phase 2 of its lineup. Santa, did I tell you that I’ve been extra good this year?
The word ‘euphoria’ is a tease in itself for a festival name. A feeling or state of intense excitement and happiness perfectly describes my condition most of the time during festivals. Euphoria is establishing itself as another promising festival in The Lone Star State as it will celebrate its sixth anniversary this spring. The tent-only camping event takes place April 6th-9th at Carson Creek Ranch; an old 60 acre ranch. I have never camped in Texas before but I can imagine nighttime having infinite stars.
Speaking of stars, the musical talent is not infinite for the weekend but the list is still compiling as we await the release of Phase 3 artists. Phases 1 & 2 launched some distinguished acts as well as some shooting stars. Thus far the festival has a nice variety of music covering different waves of: hip-hop, electronic, rap, jam bands, space rock, funk, and many more. Artists represent a number of cities, countries, and influences from Atlanta, New York, Pittsburgh, Austin, Finland, Sweden, Canada and so on.
The clash of fans from the different music will produce a unique crowd of Euphorians. Zeds Dead, Pretty Lights (Live), Wiz Khalifa, and The Disco Biscuits are only some of the music. Camping is always an adventure. I hear good things about Texas and its festivals, especially Austin and the music scene. Payment plans do exist so the festival can be affordable for those who really desire to go. Check out the lineup, crunch some numbers, talk to some friends, etc. Consider experiencing Euphoria in April.
