The internet was buzzing on Tuesday, April 25th with excitement due to North Coast Music Festival’s announcement of their 2017 line up.  The festival announced major headliners such as Deadmau5, Gucci Mane, Damien Marley, STS9, Carnage, Tipper, and the crowd favorite WEEN!

North Coast Music Festival is a relativity small day-time music festival that takes over Union Park in Chicago, IL.  The beauty of this festival is that it pulls incredibly popular artists from multiple genres due to the collaboration of independent promoter companies, such as React Presents, Silver Wrapper, Cold Grums Productions, and Metronome Chicago.  These companies combined forces 8 years ago to birth what can only be explained as the BEST daytime, small scale festival in the Chicagoland area.  This festival specializes in electronic, hip hop, jam band, indie rock and much more.

Though Chicago is known for Lollapalooza as the powerhouse daytime festival, North Coast has it beat!  North Coast offers 3 stages with very little competing acts, which is a huge thumbs-up for all festival goers!  Even if two artists are playing at the same time, you can easily move from one stage to another without missing a beat.  Another thumbs up for this city festival is that once the grounds shut down (normally around 10 pm), the city comes alive with multiple Late Night Show options.

2017 will be the festival’s 8th year of production and I have attended 7 times!  This festival is not to be missed and truth-be-told, it’s my favorite!  It’s summer’s last stand before the summer festival season wraps up.

Make sure to buy your tickets early!  Prices will continue to rise as the festival draws closer.

You can purchase your tickets HERE and make sure to keep your eyes out for those late night shows!  This is the time Chicago comes ALIVE!
