Music, Food, Beer- OH MY- Outside Lands!
Picture this- over 60 musical acts from artists located around the world, incredibly talented painters/sculptors/ muti-media artists showcasing their installation pieces, and the most delicious food and beer you’ve ever had all located in one place! This is the definition of Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival. This festival is located in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park and is visited by over 70,000 people every day. This year Outside Lands will take over the park August 11th-13th, 2017.
Outside Lands is the West Coast premiere daytime festival that rivals that of Lollapalooza. It has a wide range of musical talent headlining this year, from heavy metal Gods-Metallica all the way to hip hop guru’s A Tribe Called Quest. The real beauty of this festival is that there is something for everyone! You can go with your friends or even with your parents. Everyone will see at least 20 acts that they’ve been dying to catch. Check out 2017’s line-up below.
The true beauty of this festival is that it’s more than just the music- it’s about the whole visceral experience. The festival has partnered with Bay Area restaurants and food trucks that provide way more than just ‘festival food’. Let’s be honest, the Bay Area is known for its AMAZING food and it shows at this festival. Make sure to check out the food vendors on the website here. If food isn’t your thing- then how about BEER!? Over 20 different breweries participate at the festival every year. Some highlights of local breweries are- Drake’s, Half Moon Bay, Oakland United, and many more. Last but certainly not least- I have to mention Choco Lands. I don’t know about you, but I LOVE chocolate and this festival offers over 6 different venders that serve everything from liquid chocolate bars to chocolate French Macarons.
This festival is a MUST in 2017! For a 3-day pass, you get to see more shows than you could in a whole year, eat the most delicious food the Bay has to offer, and drink well-crafted beer from local breweries. Don’t wait on getting your tickets! They sell out fast.
