This year marks the 15th anniversary of the Forecastle Music Festival. Louisville’s Waterfront Park is considered one of the best urban parks in the country and plays host to this great music fest. Forecastles lineup includes a variety of artists ranging in style from rock to rap, EDM, alternative, indie, and more. ODESZA, Weezer, Needtobreathe, Cage the Elephant, Mondo Cozmo and GRiZ are just a few of the artists I’m stoked to see live.
Along with a solid lineup, Forecastle showcases some of Kentucky’s charm by offering a Bourbon Lounge, a Forecastle Derby, a Hunter S. Thompson themed Gonzo Bar and a Kentucky Landing featuring local craft beers, food and vendors! If you’re not ready for the night to end once the park closes down, Forecastle offers tickets for late night shows on Friday and Saturday that take place on a riverboat called the Belle of Louisville.
Forecastle takes place over a three day span but does not offer lodging, however, certain local hotels offer deals for people with Forecastle tickets. Don’t miss your chance to see some of your favorite artists while sampling some local beer, bourbon and food with the beautiful Louisville Skyline and Ohio River in the background. See y’all there!
