Shpongle was scheduled to perform a late night set at Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival on Saturday from 1:30-3am. Unfortunately, Shpongle had to cancel their trip to Bonnaroo this weekend. The official Bonnaroo Facebook page made an announcement earlier today stating that due to unforeseen visa issues they will not be able to make it to Manchester, Tennessee this year. Shpongle is a psybient band that combines world music and psychedelic trance and ambient. The duo are one of the original founders of the psybient genre and would have put on a stellar performance. Since Shpongle won’t be at Roo this year Umphrey’s McGee will be taking their place at the late night set for their second performance of the weekend! I’m a little disappointed that I won’t have the opportunity to see Shpongle but Umphrey’s McGee definitely won’t disappoint!
