Watch the Moonrise

After hearing about the Moonrise lineup, my friends have not stopped talking about it. I can’t blame them and the full lineup isn’t even out yet. They had my ear at Zeds Dead. Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland will host Moonrise Festival August 12th & 13th. I barely have enough fingers and toes to count the amount of artists I would see at Moonrise. I’ll mention a few though…

Zeds Dead – Z’s up! Enough said for Zeds Dead.

Kaskade – I only have one Kaskade experience, but it was nothing short of amazing. Vivid colors in the night sky while chilling on a hillside with friends. I’ve only heard good things about his sets. Hearing “Summer Nights” from Kaskade on an actual summer night could make for a great scene.

Big Gigantic – I saw Big G several times last year, Okeechobee being my favorite set. The electronic duo intertwines saxophone and drum play into their sets to produce a funky hip-hop jazz baby. If you like to get down to electronic music while hearing some live instrumentation don’t miss Big Gigantic.

Porter Robinson My first time seeing his set was at Okeechobee earlier this year. I’m almost positive people were crying in the crowd during his set with tears of awe and enjoyment. His set was like watching mini short films. It was a little too down tempo at times but it was still amazing. My favorite moment though was watching the fireworks explode through refraction glasses! Beautiful set if you get the chance to see Porter Robinson.

Two day festivals are always interesting because you only have today and tomorrow. So little time with so much music to feel. The Moonrise lineup keeps giving after its headliners. Check it out yourself!
