Louis the Child Makes Waves

Chicago based duo, Louis the Child has made some serious waves in the EDM sphere. From their breakout single, “It’s Strange, to their most recent original tropical house track featuring Ashe, “Right To It“, Louis the Child’s meteoric rise is no accident. Their unique style has caught the attention of many inside and outside the realm of EDM.

What exactly is the reason that they stand out from every other EDM producer out there? In my opinion, the secret lies in their ability to make the most exciting and vibrant synths in the business. Most notably their remix of Chance the Rapper’s “All Night“, and their remix of Matthew Koma and The Knocks’s track, “I Wish“, showcase their astounding talent that is quite literally unrivaled. Each song takes a different approach to exploring which synth seems to fit best, and Louis The Child hits it on the nail every single time. However, the duo has shown that they do not need to rely on their synths in order to create quality projects. Songs like Go have multiple aspects from the vocals to the beat to the quality mastering that showcases Louis The Child’s vast skill set when it comes to production.

Most recently their song, “Right To It featuring Ashe, explores the sounds of tropical house without compromising the classic Louis the Child essence of the track. Even their most relaxing track carries a rhythmic beat that could make anyone dance to it.

However, their production is not the only place where they stand out as artists. Louis the Child has incredible energy during their live performances as well. They can carry a crowd through an entire set and keep them jumping the entire night. At the moment, Louis The Child is on their Last to Leave tour. Artists opening include Point Point, Win & Woo, Louis Futon, Prince Fox, Party Pupils, Lauv, Joey Purp and featured singer Ashe. Louis the Child continuously makes strides in the electronic industry, and it is likely that they will not stop anytime soon! Find tickets for their upcoming shows here!
