The Grand Artique is a Lightning in a Bottle staple. No matter what hour you find yourself wandering in there, the jive is alive and the vibes are purely vintage. It comes as no surprise that Beats Antique will be one of the eclectic acts that will grace The Grand Artique stage this year. If you are looking to carve your own spot into LIB history, and want to do it alongside this worldly wonder of a group, then this contest is for you.
The Do Lab and The Grand Artique have combined their forces to provide one lucky musician and one performing artist the opportunity to perform alongside Beats Antique as part of the funky Lightning Orchestra. If you are deemed the worthy winner, you can look forward to playing alongside New York’s brasshouse trio Too Many Zooz, West Coast Rap icon Lyrics Born, seven-piece funk and soul band Con Brio, The California Honeydrops, Indie Folk Pop upstarts Shook Twins, and Grand Artique mainstays The Herbert Bail Orchestra. Of course, this is also accompanied by free festival passes.
Submissions are now open and will continue through May 7th. Two winners total (1 musician & 1 performing artist) will be chosen by Beats Antique, The Grand Artique, and the Do LaB based on musical ability and originality.
Contest Qualifications:
- Submit an original video of you playing or performing to “Beats Antique – Beauty Beats”
- Contest open to North Americans only
- Must be available to play at Lightning in a Bottle Sunday, May 27th 2:30-4am on Grand Artique’s stage
