Resonance Music & Arts Festival: Revealing The Lineup
cover photo from Resonance website
Resonance Music & Arts Festival takes place at the end of September at the one and only Legend Valley Concert Venue and Campground in Thornville, Ohio. This historic venue has hosted countless concerts and music festivals including Excision’s Lost Lands and The Werk Out Music Festival. Over the past five months Resonance has slowly been dropping lineup announcements including some sets that you will not want to miss. To this date, Resonance has announced twenty two different acts including three headliners, a reunion, and a few artists performing multiple sets. Resonance isn’t close to being done either stating that they still have three more headliners yet to be announced!
A Look Into The Lineup:
This years Resonance lineup is coming together beautifully! Once again Papadosio is making their return to Resonance as a headliner to take over with four sets including two Dosio sets, an acoustic set, and an improv set. The two other headliners announced are The Brain Damaged Eggman and The Disco Biscuits! Other acts performing multiple sets include SunSquabi (3 nights), Frameworks (live band & solo set), TAUK (2x), Random Rab (2 nights), Kung Fu (2x), Pink Talking Fish (2x), EOTO (2x), and Rising Appalachia (2x). One of my favorite things to check out at festivals are tribute sets and Resonance has a couple god ones in store for us! TAUK will be performing a TAUKing Beatles set paying tribute to The Beatles and the band Pink Talking Fish is a tribute band that performs the legendary music of Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, and Phish.
One of the performances I will not be missing is the reunion of The Brain Damaged Eggman. First formed in 2006 and performing for the first time since 2012; this is something you don’t want to miss! The band includes members of Umphrey’s McGee (Brendan Bayliss, Jake Cinninger, and Kris Myers) and The Disco Biscuits (Marc Brownstein and Aron Magner). The Brain Damaged Eggmen will be paying tribute to two of their biggest influences, The Beatles & Pink Floyd! This collaboration doesn’t happen often and is their first show in nearly seven years, so don’t miss your chance to see it! This reunion also gives me hope that Umphrey’s McGee could be added to this already great lineup as one of the remaining headlining acts! Who knows what Resonance has in store for the remaining two headliners!
