Imagine Atlanta: A Letter from Porchella

Guest Written by Kenny Renard

“Hey Festie Fam,

This year the Porchella crew takes on the Imagine Festival’s 5th anniversary and it will indubitably shatter expectations! I’ve always wanted to attend this event and this year will be my first! I cannot wait to witness and engage in any and everything Imagine Festival has to offer. My original rave fam have told me about this for so long and I’m just itching to break some rails. From the Imaginarium, to the circus acts and splash pool, this festival already sounds promising for some wicked shenanigans.

I’m super stoked about the 5th-anniversary lineup as well! Its variation and amalgam of talent shall please all who around. Some of the main DJ/producers I am excited for are Noisia, 12th Planet, Zeds Dead, GRiZ, and Liquid Stranger. Funny story, 12th Planet was actually the first dubstep show I ever attended and after I knew where my heart was. Some of my favorite DJ’s like Zomboy & Funtcase have praised Noisia the DnB legends, so to see them in action for the first in an aquatic setting might drown my very being. Bassnectar, AKA lord of sound, will also be in attendance and he being by my favorite producer, with the collection of other legends, will undoubtedly shut down Atlanta. I also can’t wait to get obliterated by my boys Boogie T. and Squnto, so I know this year will be sung in the halls of legends for times to come!

I love themes just as much as the next person, so the aquatic design and aura that’s accompanying this festive experience is something I’ve been looking forward too. All the beautiful souls with their mermaid and aqua costumes will really breathtaking. The many events that will be held beside the music are definitely something I will be getting into as well. In this real, I am excited to see the rest of the many performances, especially the circus acts. I want to be amazed by the the art work that will be drenching the oceanic lands. This will be my first time ever taking part in a silent disco and attending a workshop to try new experiences, who’s joining?! PLUS, there’s stage thats on fire! That’s where you can find me.

Imagine is really going all out this year! I cant wait to get groovy and mystical with any and everyone. I’m sure I’ll be reminded every second of why I love this scene so much. The vibes will pierce the sky and reverberate through each and every elan vital scattered across the musical aquarium.

This will be one for the books, I can feel it. “
