Austria is quickly putting their country on the map in the festival world with yet another massive summer event: Shutdown Festival! Located just an hour away from Vienna in the small town of Zwentendorf, the one day harder styles event takes place at (wait for it…) a finished but never activated nuclear power plant! If the festival ground isn’t phenomenal enough, the breathtaking surroundings of endless green fields and one of Europe’s largest rivers are sure to blow you away!
Combining hard drops and ‘flesh crawling melodies’, Shutdown festival has gathered an incredible lineup of hardstyle, raw, freestyle, and hardcore artists for a spectacular celebration. Since this location is nothing like anything I’ve experienced before, I am going to explore some artists that I’ve never seen before. Here are three new artists I’ll be checking out at this festival.
ADRENALIZE
Bursting onto the hardstyle scene as one of the youngest artists on the Scantraxx team, Adrenalize continuously works to prove that hardstyle is his calling. The Danish DJ has been putting samples together from a young age and has since worked with some of the biggest names in the scene. Check out his most popular track below.
EVIL ACTIVITIES
Dutch duo Evil Activities have made a name for themselves in the hardcore scene with their unique techno-inspired sounds. Their success has seen them appear at some of the biggest hard dance festivals. Check out one of their most popular tracks and festival anthems below.
PHUTURE NOIZE
Originally founded as a duo in 2009, Phuture Noize has since taken a solo path and has continued to rise in the raw hardstyle scene. Recently releasing his latest album ‘Black Mirror Society’, the Dutch DJ has been blowing up in the hard dance world and shows no signs of slowing down! Check out his most popular track below.
