Ibiza is a top international destination for music fans from around the world. Every summer people flock to the island to see some of the biggest names in electronic music. For lovers of house and techno, there really is no better place to catch legendary artists. Every week over summer RESISTANCE takes over Privilege nightclub. Week 7 of RESISTENCE IBIZA featured a line up of Adam Beyer, Dubfire, Eats Everything, Technasia, Stephan Bodzin, Sasha | John Digweed, Henry Saiz, and Coyu. It was a night of epic lasers, incredible beats, and hundreds dancing until the sun rose.
The club is broken up into two rooms. The larger space reminded me of the RESISTANCE stage at Ultra Miami due it’s massive size and unbelievable light production. Aerialists hung from the ceiling throughout the grand room, performing during Adam Beyer, Dubfire, Eats Everything, and Technasia sets. The second room felt more like an underground basement, a more intimate but high energy space. Smoke and lasers pulsed through the room were Stephan Bodzin, Sasha | John Digweed, Henry Saiz, and Coyu threw down.
The whole evening, or rather early morning since Beyer did not take the stage until 4:30 am, came to a peak when he dropped his song with Bart Skils, Your Mind. The entire venue was engulfed in red lasers as the beat built. The crowd anxiously waited for the drop. Once it hit everyone jumped in the air and the club was ignited by everyone’s pure joy and bliss. It was one of those “I CAN’T BELIEVE I AM ALIVE AND THIS IS MY LIFE” moments. Consider my mind lost. The energy at RESISTANCE IBIZA is something truly unmatched.
