LA-based house music DJ/producer/party planner extraordinaire Londonbridge dropped a remix of Ookay’s “Thief” just about a month ago. It was discovered shortly thereafter by the person behind YouTube channel Fresh, who took inspiration from the remix cover art to create a music video using clips from 1932 short cartoon Minnie the Moocher.

Using subtle but distinctly modern editing techniques, the video serves as an interesting cross-cultural piece of media, combining classic 1930s cartooning sensibilities with the sounds that have taken over today’s dance floors. Or maybe it’s just what a bad trip would look like in black and white. Either way, it’s worth watching. Take a look, and be sure to keep up with Londonbridge on SoundCloud, Twitter, and Facebook.
