Hello Governor!

The Governor’s Ball sounds like an event you might find Cinderella in the mix. By definition, it is a ball considering a social gathering for dancing will occur. Far from a formal ball scene, Randall’s Island Park in New York City is hosting the 7th annual Governor’s Ball Music Festival June 2nd – June 4th. The early summer festival will provide entertainment on many spectrums with four stages of music, street artist displays, superb eats, activities and more for all ages.

The Governor’s Ball has come a long way from its start as a one day event to a full-fledged three day festival. As New York City is a hub to almost anything, it is a perfect city for a festival. The city has artwork everywhere you turn whether it is on the streets or at one the numerous art museums. As New York City is a huge melting pot, the festival will have food for EVERYONE to eat. The venue is located at an Island Park with access to many fields and activities to enjoy from young to older. So hypothetically speaking, families can even attend.

The lineup looks nothing less than an awesome festival with nice variety. I have seen Flume, Rae Sremmurd, Wiz Khalifa, and Logic this year and I will say they are acts to see. Most artists this year could be considered as rock, pop, space rock, rap, or EDM (electronic dance music). Each night has highlights of old and new school lyricists, rockers, genius producers and then some.

I love New York City. It is a great escape. To have so much festival entertainment in a New York City park seems crazy. It is a fun summer trip to ponder. The Governor’s Ball does end every night but The City never sleeps!

SEE YOU IN NEW YORK CITY JUNE 2ND-4TH!  DON’T FORGET TO GRAB YOUR TICKETS HERE!
